  b) (5 - 1)(5 + 2) = (4)(7) = 28

2) a) A(x) = 5(x-1) = 5x-5

   b) 5x-5 = -14 ⇒ 5x = -14+5 = -9 ⇒ x = -9/5

3) a) B(x) - A(x) = (x-1)(x+2) - 5(x-1) = (x-1)(x+2-5) = (x-1)(x-3)

   b) B(x) = A(x) ⇒ B(x) - A(x) = 0

                         ⇒ (x-1)(x-3) = 0

                         ⇒ x-1=0 ou x-3=0

                         ⇒ x=1 ou x=3
